To me the guy had the right basic idea but erred in his procedure. After catching the punks they should have taken them for a drive in the country then laid a good thrashing on them with a VERY stern warning about what will happen next time if this was not the COMPLETE end of the whole affair. Plus if they had the nerve to complain to the cops it would have been just one guys word against another.

bob, i understand the sentiment, but have to disagree. you catch 'em... if they resist, you defend yourself vigorously... and then turn them over to the cops.

we absolutely need rule of law. it's what separates us from the less civilised parts of the world.

if existing law needs to be changed... ie. - "stand your ground"... then we should do that.
