“The 10th anniversary of 9/11 should be a time for reflection on how we can build a more inclusive society to end extremism,”

A more inclusive society is what made the 9/11 terrorist attack possible, as for example training of the pilots.

We need to put security ahead of inclusiveness.

Given that Mr Harper was in line for a beheading, he has a right to be somewhat sensitive. An informed and impartial commentary will remind Canadians of that inconvenient fact.

"dennis k says... a more inclusive society"

i thought the reason so many people chose to immigrate to canada... was to escape all the religious/ tribal conflicts in their countries of origin.

instead, what i see is the continued fragmentation of canadian society along racial & ethnic lines.

if being a canadian and embracing our customs & values isn't actually a step up from where you originated... why come here at all?

and that's not a rhetorical question.
