Ahh, the ol' Balkan "blood feud" - every country south of Hungary and north of Greece practices it, especially the Serbs, Macedonians, Bosnians and Albanians - and sometimes in the rural areas of Croatia, Montenegro, Romania - and yes, Bulgaria.
Before firearms became widespread in the 20th century, it was usually done "mano-a-mano" with daggers.
The "blood feud" concept is also popular in the Caucasus region - where the Russians are holding the 2014 Winter Olympics.
