Oh boy... has anybody passed this on...

...to the CHRC?

-- BEIJING -- Under a proposal submitted last Monday by the Civil Affairs Ministry to China’s State Council, adult children would be required by law to regularly visit their elderly parents.

If they do not, parents can sue them.

What about those children who care more about the money than the mother, and whose visits are - to say the least - stressful?

you have to pass a law mandating family visits... i'd say there's more than a few pressing societal issues burbling beneath the surface.
