Maybe, just maybe... Gawd-Lite ain't...

...gettin' the job done...

For some, a major attraction of Islam is the religion’s, er, aggressive aspect. There’s no messing around with Mo; he runs a tough shop, which might explain the high number of prison conversions.

By comparison, your Jesus-based faiths are a little low on testosterone...

FROM TIM'S COMMENTS:
"Catholicism used to be the sort of Church you’re talking about, Tim. I remember one Jesuit prefect of discipline who could have passed for Brian Dennehy’s tougher big brother, if Dennehy had only manned up a bit."

"These days the freaking hymns are in keys straight men and large dogs can’t even hear."

Worth the read.

LAST WORD: I know... let's ask a celeb
"I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems."
Well, that settles that.

Hey Neo

Go check out the video of Senator Puffy, and Nancy Greene on youtube

Great advert for your party

What a joke

Checked it out

The good senator actually looked dumber and fatter than usual.

Nancy just looked brain dead

Perfect spokespersons for that pathetic bunch of conservative losers

I'd have less trouble with Christianity if different factions would stop rebranding Jesus to match their product and get back to the stuff he actually said, much of which makes a lot of sense.

Remember the "Muscular Christianity" movement of a century ago, with a "he-man" Jesus? Or Christ as Business Man, hilariously described by Sinclair Lewis?

When you believe in a magical man who lives in the sky, he can be anything you want him to be. Islam believes in killing everyone who does not convert. Allah Akbar

i don't recall reading anything that would indicate Christ was for suicide.

"bdft says... a magical man who lives in the sky"

that does sort of open up all sorts of possibilities, doesn't it.

what's really interesting is... over the course of human history... how many people have been needlessly slaughtered because somebody believes... my beads are holier than your beads?

I don't recall reading anything that would indicate Christ was for forced conversion, slavery or torture either. Those are embellishments developed by his fans.

More wars in history have been fought over religion than anything else.

That's why your religion should be your own private deal, and nobody's else's

I hate religion being used by certain individuals or societies as an excuse to justify anything they do
