Extremely Social Assistance
Ever wonder what Dalton McSlippery is actually doing with all those tax dollars he filches from you?
-- Hamilton -- Ferreira, who has four children that did not reside with him at the time, said a $1,200 baby bonus cheque arrived in the mail that day. The money went to back rent, crack and vodka."It's a wonderful day in the neighbourhood..."
The witness said he was using heavily at the time and consumed a couple of hundred dollars worth of crack every day, even though he was on social assistance.
To support his habit, Ferreira had an open-door policy for other users who would share their drugs in exchange for a place off the street to smoke crack.

In the older days, baby bonuses went to the mothers, as law makers knew of people like this. I don't know how Ontario's new system works.
