Iggy reaches back into St Pierre's...

...socialist bag-o-tricks...

Liberals are attempting to show that the Conservatives have a systemic mean streak, but in aligning himself with Mr. Clark, Mr. Ignatieff is taking a political risk.

Albertans know Mr. Clark as “Red Ed” for his leading role in crafting the National Energy Program when he was a senior public servant during the Liberal government of Pierre Trudeau.

That unpopular policy haunts the Liberals to this day in Alberta.
i guess we should cut the guy a break... after all, he's been gone from Canada for decades.

Time does tend to stand still for a place, at least in your mind, when you're gone. Turdeau and all that the slimy shit represented, is where Iggy is coming from. That's the way it was when he left, time stood still and Red Ed is the "Go-to-Guy".

Nothing to see here. Move along now.

Is Warren Kinsella the janitor in charge of the Corporate Memory over there or something?

The Count may have had some traction on that abortion thing (I doubt it: I asked a dozen people last week, not one had heard about it or cared). But now, he just whispered the post-hypnotic suggestion to anyone west of Kenora...

Funny thing is, if the Tories had done this, they'd be accused of...being stodgy old conservatives living in the past and being mean, playing hardball politics.
