REGRETS

Readers will say, well, surely this is the sort of nonsense politicians always pack into their memoirs. And they will be right. But it is remarkable to come face to face with someone so utterly convinced of his own idealism, or so cynical as to insist upon it, so soon after he irrefutably demonstrated his lack of it — by squandering billions of dollars for a few seats the Liberals would probably have won anyway, proroguing the legislature to derail inquiries into same, and summarily resigning to watch the various police investigations unfold from afar.

No celebration of the McGuinty-Wynn collapse of Ontario would be complete without reading this book:

http://www.danieldickin.ca/

It should out sell McGuinty's lie journal and be standard reading for Ontario voters - but then you must be literate to get its message so it probably will miss its target audience - I met one yesterday; typical public worker, ignorant of the squalor, insulated from it in public sector sinecure and set in the false narrative. I bxxch-slapped him a couple of times with the truth and he shrugged it off as "right wing propaganda".

THIS is your McGuinty-Wynn supporter, absolutely detached from the reality that a kleptocracy can only survive if there are victims to steal from, if rich victims leave, the pickings will be poor and get poorer - but hey, the GTA Wynning team is the best thing for public sector drones since unionized plunder - the collapse is imminent

Having covered Ontario politics during the period in which the book is set, I cannot find words to describe how disconnected it is from reality. If he really was the person depicted in the book, he was a master of hiding that fact during his time in office.

the defining moment of mcslippery's imperial reign... he paid the boyfriend of a staffer $20,000 to wipe all his minister's and upper echelon employees hard drives to cover up the billion dollar gas plant scandal and then ran away to the usa.

there's another group of people within society who don't have regrets. they're called "sociopaths"

And Ontario keeps coming back for more. I'm just hoping for a serious western separation movement.

ever wonder, for instance, what'll happen when toronto's substantial gay - lesbian - lgbtxyzabc power bloc runs up against the emerging muslim political entity for real?

while the one side opts for parades and gala events, the other will be boning up on their suras & fatwas.

it's gonna be a party.
