Toronto police say a 16-year-old boy is facing charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder in the shooting death of 23-year-old Hashim Kinani in Rexdale last May.

About a week after the killing, two teenage boys, aged 15 and 17, surrendered to police and were charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.

Hashim's brother, Mohammed said there was a gang that was harassing Hashim and they killed him over a fight that happened a month or two before he was fatally shot.

"Tarrick Rhoden, 25, who was part of a shooting that injured two young girls at a Scarborough playground back in 2018 has been sentenced to 13 years behind bars."

Officials are investigating allegations of voter manipulation in Richmond, Burnaby and Vancouver, B.C. after messages from the Canada Wenzhou Friendship Society sent out on the social media app WeChat appeared to be offering money for voting in those three cities.

The City of Vancouver, Richmond and Burnaby are all conducting investigations and the matter has been referred to Vancouver Police.

Miami-Dade County court docket shows a petition for injunction against Swetnick was filed March 1, 2001, by her former boyfriend, Richard Vinneccy. Swetnick threatened him after they broke up and even after he got married to his current wife and had a child. “Right after I broke up with her, she was threatening my family, threatening my wife and threatening to do harm to my baby at that time.”

TORONTO - A second arrest has been made in connection with the daylight shooting of two young sisters, ages five and nine, at a Scarborough playground in June. 23-year-old Tarrick Rhoden, was taken into custody in the area of Stanhope Airport Road and North Shore Road in Algonquin Highlands on Wednesday.

The New York Times reports that legal documents, which the BBC has not seen, show Asia Argento paid an underage former co-star $380,000 after the 17 year old alleged she had sexually assaulted him in a California hotel room in 2013.
