"None of the occupants of the Durango were the intended targets of the shooting.”
Say what?

Of course, the devil is actually in the details... the details you won't hear on the CBC...
"The tourist was driving a truck near the rodeo grounds of Stoney Nakoda First Nation when he was shot, causing his vehicle to hit the ditch and strike a pole."

UPDATE: Calling Inspector Clouseau
"COCHRANE, Alta. – A man who was arrested in an investigation into the shooting of a German tourist west of Calgary has been released without charges."

"Safe and Inclusive"...

...the glaringly obvious and well beaten path to playing in the National Hockey League...insert alt text here
"Ahead of the minor hockey league season, coaches have been told to carry out conversations about gender diversity issues — including gender neutral pronouns — with players and parents, in order to provide “a safe and inclusive environment,” according to a Ontario Hockey Federation directive posted on its website on Tuesday."
How did all this come about?

Of course... a "human rights" lawsuit...
"A whole new set of rules and regs tailored to
0.7 per cent of the population."

"I'm just waiting for the Vampire-Canadian community to start demanding supplemental dental coverage and regular home deliveries of bags of blood."

LAST WORD: Reaping the TwitterStorm...
"Sarah Jeong is one of the biggest hypocrites in America if she thinks she opposes the social media mob now targeting her. On occasion after occasion, she has come out in favor of social media mobbing, including the destruction of lives and careers."

Federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh...

...is formally asking the Prime Minister to allow cities to ban cars. This would help municipal authorities deal with the fact that many vehicle accidents are committed with legally registered automobiles... wait a minute...
Sort of ironic, since it took Jaggi 33 years to condemn the British Columbia terrorist bombers.

...here's another story you won't see on the CBC...insert alt text here
"Critics of the government attribute the border-crossing surge to a January 2017 message from Mr. Trudeau on his official Twitter account, in which he said Canada would welcome people fleeing persecution, terror and war."

How many social workers...

...can you hire for 44.6 million dollars...insert alt text here
"City of Toronto has applied to the federal government for a $32.6 million grant Tuesday, which will go toward funding programs intended to curb gun violence. This follows Tory's promise two weeks ago to allocate $12 million of the city's own budget to several initiatives to tackle gangs and gun violence."
Curb? Seriously!!!? Try telling that to Eaton Centre shooter Christopher Husbands... the beneficiary of one such pie in the sky program...
"Husbands was also supervising children at a City of Toronto-run facility from November 2011 to May 2012 while on $4,000 house arrest bail for the sexual assault."
Just something to consider the next time you sit down to pay your skyrocketing taxes.

BREAKING: ••• "GET ME A SOCIAL WORKER, STAT!!!"insert alt text here
"Gunfire just east of the Don Valley Parkway near Dundas Street East has sent a male victim to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews were called to the area of Kintyre Avenue and Munro Street at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday."

SIGN OF THE TIMES:insert alt text here
Emergency-care nurses are gearing up to offer “active-shooter” first-aid courses to the public in Vancouver. Stop the Bleed teaches ordinary people to stop massive bleeding that would kill a victim long before first-responders arrive.
Just spitballin' here... but wouldn't a course in... how to overcome your revulsion and give mouth to mouth to an HIV-positive junkie suffocating on his own vomit... be a little more useful here?
