I'm sure it must have been...

Weeks before he will reportedly enact a massive executive amnesty for illegal immigrants, President Barack Obama was silent on immigration when he addressed the Congressional Black Caucus' Phoenix Awards Dinner on Saturday evening in Washington, D.C.
I mean... what possible reason would the President have to try pull a fast one on the Congressional Bla... wait a minute...
Critics of amnesty, like U.S. Civil Rights Commissioner Peter Kirsanow, have warned that granting work permits to millions of more illegal immigrants would have a disparate impact on black workers trying to move up the economic ladder. The black unemployment rate is 11.2%, and a record number of blacks are not even in the workforce.
You can almost smell the leadership.

"Make no mistake, ISIS must be defeated," Netanyahu told the UN General Assembly, referring to the Islamic State group.

"But to defeat ISIS and leave Iran as a threshold nuclear state power is to win the battle and lose the war."

President Barack Obama has attended only 42.1% of his daily intelligence briefings (known officially as the Presidential Daily Brief, or PDB) in the 2,079 days of his presidency through September 29, 2014.

The remains of four Canadian soldiers who fought in the First World War were identified Saturday.

They are Lt. Clifford Neelands, Lance Sgt. John Lindell, Pvt. Lachlan McKinnon and Pvt. William Simms.

OTTAWA — For 98 years, Capt. Richard Steacie’s remains have rested in a Belgian gravesite, buried with the vaguest of inscriptions — "Captain of the 14th Battalion Unknown".

KTVI reported that dozens of protesters initially showed up at the scene in the mistaken belief that the officer had shot someone. By midnight, approximately two dozen officers stood near a group of about 100 protesters who mingled on a street corner across from the police department, occasionally shouting, "No justice; no peace."

A man was stabbed to death out front of a pool hall in East York early Saturday, Toronto Police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call on Danforth Ave., just east of Greenwood Ave., around 1:10 a.m. and found the “lifeless” body of a man in his 20s on the sidewalk in front of Danny Greens Billiards Bar, police said.

The man was pronounced dead in hospital becoming the city’s 39th murder victim of the year, he said.

TORONTO - A man was injured when gunfire erupted at a plaza in Scarborough early Saturday.

Preach Peace...

Wage War...divine right of kings
Eight of the 22 airstrikes that began Monday night Washington time were aimed at targets associated with an alleged al-Qaeda cell in Aleppo called the Khorasan group, an organization so obscure that U.S. officials had never even mentioned it by name until a week ago.

By Tuesday, officials across the Obama administration and U.S. military were describing the group as an “imminent threat” to this country.
Rules are for little people. Thank goodness President Obama (unlike his bloodthirsty predecessor) has access to those special cruise missiles that don't cause collateral damage (aka non-combatants, women & children).

WEASEL WORDS: Dear Mr PresidentcodetalkerAir strikes and cruise missiles don't 'dismantle'... THEY DISEMBOWEL.

This isn't like breaking up a rowdy frat party... it's premeditated homicide. That's part of the job.

Maybe Obama should get a Nobel prize for fiction.

Remember back in high school...

A 19-year-old male student is dead after being stabbed at a high school in Rexdale over the noon-hour Tuesday.

“Emergency responders arrived and found the victim suffering from stab wounds to his face and stomach.”
Rexdale, Rexdale... that sounds so familiar.
The suspect is described as a black male about age 17 with medium height and build and wearing a blue T-shirt.
Just another day in the hood.

REXDALE NEWSFLASH: Cops nab other school killer
In January, police issued a Canada-wide warrant for a 23-year-old Reshane Hayles-Wilson, of Mississauga.
Hayles-Woilson was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree murder.

Oh, c'mon... what's all the fuss about?

It's not like she was caught butt-naked in a house of ill-repute...money for deedsHmmm...
For $25, a donor received a handwritten thank-you note from Ms. Borg. For $50, she would say a donor’s name in Parliament. A $500 donation bought dinner with the MP. And for $1,000, she would utter the Star Trek line “Resistance is futile” in Parliament, a nod to the Star Trek alien race that shares her name.
I'm beginning to understand why the NDP is so enthusiastic about legal prostitution.

"And getting paid to say the Star Trek line, she's basically acting like a clown. It's like she's dancing on a table for money. What would she do for $1500 or $2000?"

They look in your face and they lie

All that hopey-changey stuff Obama & Biden were peddling...
Romney said it was a mistake to end the war in Iraq and bring all of our warriors home,” Biden told an audience in York, Penn., on September 2, 2012. He [Romney] implies by the speech that he’s ready to go to war in Syria and Iran.”
I guess this is the changey part...
The United States and several Middle East partners pounded Islamic State targets in Syria on Tuesday with waves of warplanes and Tomahawk cruise missiles in an aggressive and risky operation marking a new phase in the conflict.
Sure, when the Dems do it... it's a good thing, right?

They're just hopey that nobody remembers what they said previously.

The government has begun invalidating the passports of Canadians who have left to join extremist groups in Syria and Iraq, Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander revealed in an interview on Friday.

TORONTO -- A former American military sniper who fired his gun to scare off a stray dog in a rural area of Ontario deserves another trial on charges of careless use of a firearm, the province's top court ruled Friday. In its decision, the Court of Appeal said two lower courts were wrong to convict John Batty on the basis that the simple act of firing his gun was dangerous, and noted their rulings could have serious implications for those who live outside urban areas.

The climate alarmism edifice is slowly crumbling as study after study comes out showing that they've badly overstated their claims of catastrophe.

That the LA Times would actually report this study is amazing, though of course they had to get Trenberth to provide the obligatory "the earth is burning" quote.
The media is starting to hedge their bets.

TORONTO - A man is dead and another is in police custody after a stabbing at a North York home Sunday night.

TORONTO - Two men wanted for last week’s killing of a 60-year-old man in the city’s west end have been arrested.

Jamal Hassan, 22, and Gonffa Krow, 20, both of Toronto, each face charges of second-degree murder and assault causing bodily harm.

While the CDC does not believe that there are new cases of Ebola in the United States, the assumption in the checklist is that it is only a matter of time before the virus hits home.
The nightmare scenario is that the outbreak may be mutating into an aerially transmissable variant.

Looks like the State Department has decided to protect their own. Might not be a bad time for us common folk to grab some N-95 filter masks and Tyvek suits from the local hardware store...
The huge bulk order of hazmat suits for Ebola has stoked concerns that the U.S. government expects the virus to continue to ravage countries in west Africa and may also be concerned about an outbreak inside the United States.
Be afraid.

TORONTO - A 22-year-old man found dead behind a York Mills apartment building Thursday morning is now the city’s latest murder victim, Toronto Police said.

Homicide detectives took over the investigation Thursday afternoon after determining the slain man is the city’s 33rd homicide victim of the year.
That's what... three separate murders this week?

I thought Olivia Chow was gonna declare Toronto a "homicide-free" zone.

No Gentle Giants here

TORONTO - A man is dead following a shooting Monday in the city's west end.
But that's not all... apparently the knives are out as well.
Toronto Police responded to the bar near Danforth Ave. and Dawes Rd. shortly after 5 p.m. and found the two victims suffering from apparent stab wounds.

It’s believed the pair were attacked by as many as six assailants.

The killing is one of two murders that occurred in Toronto — the city’s 31st and 32nd homicides of the year.
Attacked by a knife-wielding gang... that's some city you've got there.

UPDATE: Murdered man id'd
TORONTO - A man who was gunned down in North York earlier this week has now been officially identified.

He said the dead man has been identified as Joseph Okoro, 21, of Toronto.

UPDATE2: Another murdered man id'd
Abdul Monir, 31, was gunned down after midnight as he finished his shift at Halal Pizza Time near Markham Road and Lawrence Avenue, where he had begun working a few weeks ago. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rahim Dorani, the shop’s owner, was also shot and underwent surgery Sunday. “He’s doing better right now,” said his son, Hekmat Dorani.

The hits just keep on coming.

Did Barack and Hillary really believe...

...they could peddle that ridiculous Benghazi fairytale?
A U.S. security team in Benghazi was held back from immediately responding to the attack on the American diplomatic mission on orders of the top CIA officer there, three of those involved told Fox News’ Bret Baier.

Their account gives a dramatic new turn to what the Obama administration and its allies would like to dismiss as an “old story” – the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attacks that killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.
It didn't make sense then... and it sure doesn't now as more critical info surfaces.

Coming soon... to an IRB center near you

A video has emerged that an Ebola-infected patient has escaped a quarantine zone in Liberian hospital and went to a local crowded market in search of food. He was then pursued by medical staff and returned to hospital.

A local resident told the media that it is the fifth case in which a patient has escaped the quarantine zone.

On August 18, at least 17 suspected Ebola carriers fled the same hospital in Monrovia after a quarantine center was attacked by a rock-throwing crowd. They were then successfully returned to the facility.
This is not an "if" people... it's a "when".

How many N95 filter masks do you own?

LAST WORD: Magical medical moment
(Reuters) - A Nigerian doctor with Ebola carried on treating patients and met scores of friends, relatives and medics before his death, leaving about 60 of them at high risk of infection, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Wednesday.

MONTREAL — Liberal Party of Canada CFO Chuck Rifici has become a multimillionaire in just a few months thanks to his stock-traded medical marijuana company, QMI Agency has learned.

Documents show Rifici's initial investment in Tweed Marijuana Inc. has so far sprouted into an $18-million bumper crop.

It's no big deal... really...

...we can just change that to a Nobel Prize for fiction...
The speech by former US Vice-President Al Gore was apocalyptic. ‘The North Polar ice cap is falling off a cliff,’ he said. ‘It could be completely gone in summer in as little as seven years. Seven years from now.’

Those comments came in 2007 as Mr Gore accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for his campaigning on climate change.

But seven years after his warning, far from vanishing, the Arctic ice cap has expanded for the second year in succession – with a surge, depending on how you measure it, of between 43 and 63 per cent since 2012.
At least you don't have to stay up nights worrying about those poor polar bears anymore.

RELATED: It's hard to be green
Gore’s 20-room, eight-bathroom mansion located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES).

"They called me foolish and laughed at my predictions. Yet even now, the Midwest is flooded, the ice caps are melting, and the cities are rocked with tremors, just as I foretold."
Just your average eco-hero.
