I'm from the government...

...I'm here to kick your hetero-male rightwing ass.

Bright lights, big city

Yet again, a crime that should have been prevented...
On Dec. 5, the accused was arrested following an incident involving Takyi. He was charged with three counts of assault, two counts each of assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous, and one count of threatening death.

Owusu-Ansah was released the same day and ordered to remain under house arrest as he awaited his Jan. 30 court appearance on those charges.
So what happened next?
“Her death was extremely violent,” Homicide Det.-Sgt. Brian Borg said Monday.

He said Takyi was walking to her parked car to head to work around 4 a.m. when she was brutally attacked, allegedly by her former boyfriend.

She was stabbed, doused with “a flammable substance” and set on fire, Borg explained.

“The intensity of that fire has virtually left her body unrecognizable.”
Who could have seen that coming, huh?
“Needless to say, at the time that this homicide was committed, the accused was in breach of numerous conditions of his court ordered release,” Borg said.
Yup... including, what was it... oh, that's right... threatening death.

I guess resistance, or more to the point, expecting the protection of the law, IS futile... right, Det-Sgt. Borg?

#IdlePlenty

Let's face it... a culture that can't take care of its children is a culture on the road to oblivion...
VANCOUVER -- "Only one-third of aboriginal students are graduating, with the rate dropping 1.3% last year, according to a school board report."

"The same report sampled groups of aboriginal pupils in elementary schools and found the students are three times more likely to miss class, and tend to have 20% lower literacy and numeracy scores than non-aboriginal students."
That's among the one third that graduates, I presume?

Let's face it... even 12 billion dollars per year can't provide every aboriginal child with an $850.00 per day consulting gig.

Two words... parental... responsibility. The "communities" always seem to be able to blockade a highway or converge on Parliament Hill at will. How about a little nurturing for your own children?

Stereotypes are bad... right?

Apparently it depends whose finger is on the trigger.

Witness the commercials the compassionate, intellectual McGuinty government has foisted upon (and no doubt paid for by) the citizens of Ontario, advertising the availability of "free" money for education.

There are two variants of this commercial... one starts off with a frail, geeky caucasian male dreaming of achieving personal glory and a full ride scholarship by way of being a football playin' stud. This propaganda piece then cuts to a studious, worldly-wise (let's make sure I use the politically acceptable term here) "Asian" student shaking his head at such obvious nonsense. This is followed by the news that there is money for the taking for qualified applicants... the implication being that dumb, delusional white boys will be at the bottom of the list.

In case there is any doubt about the message, the Liberals have also crafted another version of the commercial, this time featuring a (wait for it) geeky white girl, who comes upon a blackboard in a hallway and proceeds to solve some complicated mathematical puzzle by filling the board with equations. This is also revealed to be a silly fantasy when the tv cuts to a studious black (or is it Afro-Canadian?) girl smiling & shaking her head at the unlikely chain of events. Again, we are informed there is (for qualified applicants) money for the asking.

For those of you who might think I'm over-reacting here... try to imagine the uproar if there was a similar commercial that made fun of a black (or is it Afro-Canadian?) boy, er... youth... and his NBA dreams... cutting to a studious white male scoffing at the pretension of his non-caucasian counterpart.

Remember... all this "free" money comes out of your (you, the taxpayer) pockets. It's not only offensive... it's expensive.

When are we gonna get around to treating everyone in Canadian society equally? No special rights... one people, one law. And no exceptions for shit that happened a century ago.

Racist of the Week

Another "community" that needed "organising"... I guess...
"The irony is that expanding diversity in search of greater “fairness” actually institutionalizes a system of bias. Using diversity to manufacture demographic proportionality necessarily becomes insidious and counterproductive."

Ontario Emergency Services...

...follow Commiss, er... Moderator Chris Lewis lead... "no more racing over to burning buildings" say Firefighters... "sick and maimed people are really icky" declare Paramedics...
cops... what cops?Hey, Chris... did somebody actually say you had to arrest "everybody"? I was thinking maybe just the people who were observed breaking the law.
"We’re going to try to talk through a de-escalation of any tension and come up with some parameters."
Oh, that's so sweet.

FROM THE NATPO COMMENTS:
"So if my friends and I decide we're going to 'strike' because we're not happy with Ontario's electricity rates, you're going to let us block the 401 next week? Don't worry, we'll give you and your commanders a call ahead of time to "discuss the parameters". We'll even bring donuts."
Orwell was so, so right.

Livin' large, in, dare I say it...

...every sense of the word...
"Grand Chief David Harper of the Okimakanak First Nation described Theresa Spence as their very own 'Mother Theresa'. I don’t remember reading reports of the Calcutta nun rolling on 20″ rims."
That's weird. The way the Canadian lapdog media was grimly reporting this thing, I pictured freezing, windblown tarpaper shacks... and an emaciated, aboriginal Joan of Arc... not a tricked out Hummer en-route to a fancy hotel.

UPDATE: What's a hunger-strike cost, anyway?

09 January 2013

08 January 2013

Tonight's CTV Moonbat moment

So, there's 100 million dollars of taxpayer money disappeared by a community of 1800 people with little or no documentation... and the thrust of this incisive report is about the Harper government smearing poor hunger-striking, but surprisingly still substantial Chief Theresa Spence. Not even the mention of the 800 dollar a day fee being paid to the Chief's live-in boyfriend is enough to set off the smell-o-meter at CTV.

Lisa & Bobbo also heard from 3 separate spokes-natives about the unfairness of actually asking for receipts on the megamillion dollar handout... but not a word from the other side. Not only are we expected to just hand over the big bucks in perpetuity... but asking for any sort of accounting is apparently just more racism.

And this is simply one community among how many? Last I heard, this little boondoggle was a 12 billion dollar line item in the federal budget.

Just something to think about the next time you ponder being a non-aboriginal plowhorse in a fifty percent tax bracket.

UPDATE: Hear no evil, speak no...

Let's ask a Liberal...
"There's no money mismanaged. There's no money missing." - Carolyn Bennett MP, Liberal Aboriginal Affairs critic on the Attawapiskat audit.
Alrighty... problem solved.

LAST WORD: Hmmm... Bennet, Bennet...

...that sounds so familiar...
"Not only did Liberal MPs Raymonde Folco, Carolyn Bennet, Rob Oliphant, Andrew Telegdi and Tom Wappel meet with the designated terrorist group Mojahedin e Khalq, their travel costs to France was included."
Don't blame me, I didn't vote for them.

Hey America... time to reap all that...

...hopey-changey argle-bargle...
"Health insurance companies across the country are seeking and winning double-digit increases in premiums for some customers, even though one of the biggest objectives of the Obama administration’s health care law was to stem the rapid rise in insurance costs for consumers."

...I'm here to save you.

This seemed like a slam-dunk to me...

...but now it's official...
"There’s all kinds of good news here. First and foremost, Mr. Thomson did nothing wrong and should never have been charged in the first place. But an acquittal on all counts will have to do. Second, there is further clarification of Canada’s sloppy gun laws, and a reasonable one, at that."

"And best of all, a message has been sent to overreaching Crown attorneys. Canadians have the right to use firearms to defend themselves and their homes."
Here's a thought... suppose these criminals had firebombed a police officer's home.

What charges would have been laid in that case?

Ah, yes... "militants"...

...because calling them bloodthirty, misogynistic, religious terrorists... well, that'd just be rude...
"Seven charity workers, six of them women, have been shot dead in north-west Pakistan, police say. Of the seven people who were killed, two were health workers and five were teachers."

"'Militants' targeting a vaccination programme are suspected."

"Last month, in a series of attacks, gunmen killed nine health workers taking part in a national polio vaccination drive."

"While the Pakistani Taliban have denied carrying out the killings, they have long denounced the vaccination drive as a Western plot either to gather intelligence or to sterilise Muslim children."
Well then... they were forced into it by the CIA.

Never a "Community Organiser" around...

...when you really need one...
"In 2012, 532 people were murdered in the city of Chicago, according to statistics compiled by the Crime in Chicago website. The number of people murdered the year before was 441, meaning in the city of Chicago, murders have increased by 91 from 2011 to 2012."

"The website also claims that, through December 25, 2012, there 2,670 people were shot in Chicago last year. That's also an increase from the year before, when 2,217 people were shot in Chicago that year."

"In all, it means that on average almost 1.5 people were murdered in Chicago each day last year, while on average 7.3 people were shot each day."
Happy Hopey Changey New Year.
