I thought these people were very poor, where did they get the 15,000. to get on the boat/per person.
Send them back, it wouldn't be the first time Canada refused a boat load of refugees, to go back to be gassed.

Global's Kevin Newman just said it cost each of those tamils 45,000, to get on the ship. Again, where did they get the money. Did they pay it up front, or are they to pay for the rest of their lives. And, what will they have to do to earn it and pay back whoever put them on that boat.
Are they expected to protest and close down highways, or protest in front of govt blds, or worse.

Read the post carefully,the $15,000 was for passage from Malaysia to Australia.
According to Canadian news casts the people who ended up in BC paid as much as $45,000 per person.
And maybe you might want to back up your gassing conspiracy.
A boat load of jewish refugees was refused docking, and it returned to Germany, where many of the passengers ended up in death camps.
It was a liberal PM who refused to allow them to disembark.
