"I'm from the Government... I'm here..."

"...to save (some of) you"...

Inmates at Ontario jails and correctional centres will be vaccinated for the swine flu Monday, while the guards protecting them have been told their clinics have been cancelled, the Sun has learned.

To add insult to injury, he said, the guards will be part of the security for the clinic.

"They want us to help put the clinic on and we're not getting the vaccine?" said Duffy, a 23-year veteran. "We have pregnant women on the job. It's not right."

The correctional services ministry couldn't be reached for comment last night.

UPDATE: And, don't forget... fucking criminals
Public health officials are yet again urging healthy Ontarians to wait their turn while priority groups, such as pregnant women, children under five years old and people with chronic conditions, get their inoculations.
Thank you, Dalton McSlippery.

FROM THE COMMENTS:
"Line the criminals up ... I'll give them each a very special shot."

BREAKING: So... Paul Bernardo, Clifford Olsen...

...just not the rest of us...
"Ontario is suspending the rollout of its H1N1 flu shots to the general public next week, amid a shortage of the vaccine."

not enough vaccine to go around in the gta... only 2 clinics for the entire region... pregnant women & unbelievably, a kid with a brain tumour being turned away.

but dalton's gonna make sure the cons get innoculated.

This is just another example of how common sense and decency have been turned inside out.

And all of it courtesy of that vile ideology called liberalism.

Can we suggest those MP's who want to jump the line, get arrested for faster service?

In all my days, I cannot recall a mess as big as the Harper Reform-Conservatives have made of H1N1 - saying they were ready, when they weren't. Saying there'd be enough vaccine, when there wasn't. Saying they had a plan, when they didn't.

Don't just take my word for it. Below is only a small sampling of what others are saying about this growing crisis.

In the House of Commons yesterday, you could sense the unease on the Reform-Conservative backbenches. You could smell their fear. This is why:

"The flyer, mailed as a message from Liberal health critic Dr. Carolyn Bennett, features a picture of body bags in a lab and a sick aboriginal child."

Call me hopelessly paranoid, but I'm overjoyed to have the LIVE TESTING of the vaccine done on Paulie Bernardo and company for a couple weeks before they sort out the logistics.

Could be giving pregnant women shots -first- might not be the smartest thing ever done in Canada, know what I mean?

I'm not sure why I posted the 'special shot' comment as anon ... I was thinking along the lines of Lethal injection and chemical castration ... well other types of shots crossed my mind when I read the article.

yup... i just don't get that whole coddling criminals thing the socialists are so intent on.

you think dalton will dare innoculate his convicts... with this latest announcement of vaccine shortages?

i bet he will.

for the record, both neophyte and i are still pretty sick... but, another day or so, we'll be over the hump.

this thing, at least the version we have, is bad.
