Family members of a 19-year-old who was shot dead last night say the victim was a "good kid" who was shy and listened to his mom.*
Shots rang out at a Jameson Ave. apartment building just south of King St. W., said Toronto police Staff Sgt. David Vickers. Christian Derro was pronounced dead at the scene at about 11:30 p.m.
The killing is Toronto's 42nd homicide of the year.
