Fiberals didn't get it done... again
"Flee, flee run away"... the Liberal Party of Canada can't bring itself to defeat that horrible Harperite cabal... yet again.
-- Ottawa -- With several Liberals abstaining, the House of Commons has approved controversial Conservative reforms to Canada's immigration laws by a vote of 120-90.Stephane Dion, from whatever hidey-hole he is occupying tonight... has said that he will repeal that bill once he is... get this... Prime Minister.
Bill C-50 allows skilled immigrants such as doctors to be put on the fast-track into Canada, while unskilled immigrants will find it harder to enter the country.
Yeah, yeah... I know.
Meanwhile, back in the real world...
"Stephen Harper and the Conservative government takes a principled stand for the values that we believe in even when it's not popular.**********
Stéphane Dion is showing through his chronic abstentions that he is a weak leader who will flip flop on any issue in order to survive and continue on as leader," said Mr. Poilievre.
BREAKING: The real reason...
...Steffi didn't bring down the Conservatives.

Stephane Dion showing him to be a weak leader through the abstentions? Try the entire Liberal party.
A party whose sole motivation on whether to enable or defeat a government is whether they can take power... let's repeat that... WHETHER THEY CAN TAKE POWER... is no party that deserves power. That party has been corrupted through and through and no longer seem able to stand on principles.
I personally like the Canadian Press spin - "several Liberals".
Dear Canadian Press - please define "several", I think your interpretation is somewhat different than the real world.
Notice his blatant attempt to salvage the immigrant vote. "I won't guard your selfish interests now, but help me become Prime Minister and I'll kiss your asses as a reward."
"Several Liberals"
The current Liberals seem to have lost their philosophy and their own centre. Speaking as a former card carrying Liberal that is a fact for me. Half of all Liberals today would find their true centre inside the current Conservative party. The other half would find their true centre within the NDP or the Greens.
Good maybe we will be able to get enough Doctors in this darn Country so we don't have to wait 9 hours at the Children's Hospital with a toddler in respiratory distress, so the waiting period for surgery is dropped down, Millions of folks could once again have the supreme luxury of a family doctor?
Hey I dream big.
I heard Rae and Findlay were at some cocktail party in Montreal while this went through, LMAO!
I heard there was cheering in the house when the handfull of libs voted against it.............how big are the bathrooms in parliament? It seems that the libs were all taking a dump at the same time.
Nice to see enough "immigrant representation" just to save some face by the Libs..........

"crazymamma says... so we don't have to wait 9 hours at the Children's Hospital with a toddler in respiratory distress"
i did seven and a half hours in the belleville emerg with my sick, fevered son... and by the end of it i was ready to punch someone.
more doctors, skilled tradesmen... maybe a few less third-world gangsters.
also gotta love how this vote is being spun by canadian press... i had no idea the conservatives "survived" this vote.
kinda conjures up an earthquake, huh?

Allowing more doctors and other skilled persons to enter this country ahead of other people in the immigrant line up is bad because the Conservatives thought of it.
If the Liberals had though this up it would be a genius idea.
It really just depends on which party has an idea that determines whether the media thinks it is a good idea or not.

hmmmm... on the one hand, more doctors... on the other, beefing up the night-shift shelf-stocking crew at walmart... oh, gawd... i'm so torn.

I just came back from Holiday with my family and had to stop at an American Children's Hospital. Right in the Emergency room was a sign that said if you weren't seen by a DOCTOR in half an hour you didn't have to pay for the visit!
I know medicine is not Pizza and it must be bad because the Hospital was in the US and all things US are inherently bad, but lordy seeing and being diagnosed by a real genuine Doctor in less then an hour.....
I thought I had died and gone to heaven already. I want some of that for good Ole Canerder, eh?

if they could cut it down to 2 hours wait time at bgh... i'd consider that a minor miracle.
maybe someone should maybe tell george smitherman that taxpayer-funded sex-change operations aren't his first priority.

@ crazymamma: If they think they're going to get the same health care after they vote in Obama, without raising their taxes to the appropriate percentage of GDP that it currently costs...
