A Nation of Killers...

..living right under our noses...

The American Bird Conservancy estimates that up to 500 million birds are killed each year by cats — about half by pets and half by feral felines.

Household cats were introduced in North America by European colonists; they are regarded as an invasive species and have few natural enemies to check their numbers.

“They are like gypsy moths and kudzu — they cause major ecological disruption,” Dr. Marra said.

Do any of these morons remember the Bubonic Plague , where rats were worshiped and cats were hunted down with a less than satisfactory conclusion.

oh, nonny... a comment a minute? is there anything posted here that doesn't set you spinning off center?

ps... maybe you should read slower...

"By contrast, 440,000 birds are killed by wind turbines each year, according to the United States Fish and Wildlife Service."

remember... that's 440,000 versus 500,000,000... although i'd love to know exactly how they extrapolated that number.
