For the uninitiated: Murray thought that being left wing and gay would be enough to win a seat as a liberal MP and resigned as mayor to run federally. And he probably would have won too, if it weren't for a certain pugnacious quadriplegic. He went from hero to zero quicker than a transvestite goes through pantyhose. Oh the humanity...
