When the gov't tried to change recipes into metric, I argued that - at least in baking - everything revolved around the number of eggs used. Generally, in cakes and cookies, it's so much flour, sugar, & fat to the egg. So I suggested that instead of the kilo, we should use the 'oeuf' as our standard of measurement.
