No big deal... he said he was sorry

What we really need is for Stephen Harper to stop stalling... on that "National Sharp Objects Registry."
-- BARRIE -- A Wasaga Beach man apologized in court to his best friend and his lover's husband for bludgeoning the man's wife to death with an axe.

"I would do anything to turn back time," Adam Newman, 35, said at his sentencing hearing after pleading guilty to the second-degree murder of Yvonne Marsh.

Court heard Newman was angry one night when his lover Marsh told him she was going back to her husband, Chad Marsh.

After she went to bed that March 2006 night, Newman struck her at least six times in the head with the blunt end of an axe, then left her to die, bleeding and in convulsions.
