Can somebody please tell me...
Why the media and the lunatic left are going apeshit over the Scooter Libby pardon... while "Slick Willy" gets a free ride?
Bill Clinton granted 395 pardons during his presidency, comparable in number to other recent presidents. What a bunch of happy hypocritical horseshit.
However, of that total 140 were issued on his final day in office. His final day pardon of financier Marc Rich, who had fled the country on tax evasion charges, immediately erupted in controversy.
There were charges that emissaries of Rich had used personal influence and campaign contributions to win the pardon.

UPDATE: Hillary Clinton starts digging
Her husband's pardons, issued in the closing hours of his presidency, were simply routine exercise in the use of the pardon power, and none were aimed at protecting the Clinton presidency or legacy, she said. So, those "campaign contributions" were totally coincidental, right?
She's got bigger balls than Bill.

THE SCOOP: Show me the money!!!
Marc Rich's socialite ex-wife has donated an estimated $1 million to Democratic causes, including $70,000 to Hillary Clinton's successful Senate campaign and $450,000 to the Clinton presidential library fund.

i wish... with their pension plan and summers off... shaping young minds would have been ice-cream.

Oh Christ, you're a teacher.
If the worst analogue you can dig up from Clinton's pardons involves a funding scandal, then you are practicing some extreme equivocation by comparing that to a case involving a breach of national security, and lying to a Grand Jury.
I hope you don't teach critical thinking.

"anon said...Oh Christ, you're a teacher."
i love it... you read my reply and then went with the exact opposite answer.
as for a "a funding scandal"... i'd say this was more of a straight out bribe... "$70,000 to Hillary Clinton's successful Senate campaign and $450,000 to the Clinton presidential library fund."
but you won't read it that way either, will you?

So I misread your answer; suprising, given how very UNAMBIGUOUS it was. After all, it is clear that your answer stated ONLY that you weren't a teacher ... there is certainly no way anyone could misread THAT. Given that you responded to two specific questions re: residing in Madoc, and teaching at CHSS, it is very surprising that your detailed answer of 'i wish' was not taken to refer to *teaching in general*, rather than the other two questions that were actually posed.
As for your 'bribery' charges: even if it were an outright bribe, you are still matching that with perjury involving matters of national security. Perspective, man, perspective...

"anon said... Given that you responded to two specific questions re: residing in Madoc, and teaching at CHSS"

WTF are you talking about? Can you even read what charles wrote? There are two questions:
1. Are you from Madoc?
2. Do you teach at CHSS?
Your answer: I wish.
Yup, that's real specific. No chance that will be misread.
What does any of this have to do with dyslexia anyway?
neo: I see now that you expected your response re: pension plans and summers off to be indicative of *general* teacher's jobs, rather than a specific job at CHSS. Thus, your 'I wish' refers to teaching in general.
My mistake.

"anon said... My mistake."
heat of the moment... no problem.
