The next time the media...

Try to wind you up about the 60 Canadian casualties over the last 6 years in Afghanistan, remember this...
-- ORILLIA, Ont. (CP) -- Six people died on roads patrolled by Ontario Provincial Police over the Canada Day weekend.

There have been 225 traffic deaths on Ontario roads so far in 2007, up from 186 at the same time last year despite the fact provincial police have issued almost 22,000 more speeding tickets this year than last.
So, to recap... deaths in Afghanistan average out at 10 per year.

People who die in car accidents, on Ontario roads alone... we're on track to hit 500 in 2007.

Think about it.
