Sounds like a plan...

...so when exactly, will we be shutting down all those remote aboriginal communities?

"The provincial government now is pushing to close places like Little Bay Islands altogether rather than service them, offering Locke and his neighbors at least $250,000 (US$189,000) each to leave — and spurring a bitter, three-year fight over whether to cash out or endure."
Just askin'.

old white guy says..........in the past economic activity was self regulating. if something no longer worked or was unprofitable it closed and the people left on their own. too bad Canada doesn't require a 90% majority vote before parliament gets to spend a dime or elected to office.

that's part of the reason a non-politician like trump has so much support. people are ready to try just about anything to change the existing model.

Re-read UN agenda 21 and its accompanying papers on population and land use - the idea is to have the majority of humanity in micromanaged super metroplexes and rural places like the one in question here become "earth preserves" put aside for only the political/economic elite to play in.

I would think living in a bucolic out port like that is as close to heaven as you can come and the quality of life is worth preserving at any cost, but apparent technocrats don't think that way. A cold cruel new world is dawning and it will be run by cold cruel ideologues who place no value on human happiness or spiritual needs

curiously, the politicos aren't putting pressure on all of the remote, failing aboriginal communities to "come in from the cold."

the tab for those hellholes is 12 billion dollars per year and perpetually rising. orwell was right... some animals are more equal than others.

Neo - Te "Rez" is the Canadian Librano version of the Dem innercity "plantation.

In our case the Rez is an isolated Gulag to inventory "wild people" until the hammer fully drops and they can ignore them completely.
