"Oprah gives up on you, your 'culture' probably sucks."

"Speaking to Newsweek magazine (1/8/07 issue), Oprah confessed, 'I became so frustrated with visiting inner-city schools that I just stopped going."

"The sense that you need to learn just isn't there. If you ask the kids what they want or need, they will say an iPod or some sneakers."

"In South Africa, they don't ask for money or toys. They ask for uniforms so they can go to school.'"
Before all you "social justice warriors" start screaming about racism, perhaps you should meet the author, Taleeb Starkes.

What do "a residential area just south of York University" and "a parking lot of a church in the city's northwest" have in common?
Northwest, northwest... that sounds so familiar.

Nice t see a Black American who laces blame for cultural decline where it belongs. I realize that there are few opportunities to advance in an inner city ghetto, what I don't understand is why you would stay and why you would continue to vote for political bosses who want to keep you there and exploit you politically.

The key to escape has always been education, not welfare and drugs. BLM derides that message so like the KKK and the white dixiecrat oligarchy, they wish to keep you enslaved in a dependency culture.

it seems so obvious that embracing a culture of victimhood is not the answer.

as the post says... when oprah gives up on you, it's time to find another way.
