Homicide is investigating after John Wheeler, 45, of Toronto, was shot while waiting for a ride to work outside an apartment building in Scarborough on Danforth Road near Eglinton Avenue East around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Wheeler was standing outside the building when two suspects approached him and shot him in the back. The suspects then fled the scene in a dark-coloured SUV that police said was driven by a woman.
