Try to imagine what would happen... if there was a real pandemic...
“If we needed proof of the gravity of the situation, we have it now,” a subdued-sounding Legault said at his daily media briefing on the evolution of the virus in Quebec. This is the pattern, both here in Canada and abroad.
Legault said the person who died was an elderly woman in a seniors’ residence from the Lanaudière region, north-east of Montreal, who was in poor health.
“We have right now only six people that need to be in our hospitals and we have 2,300 beds that are waiting in case we need to use them for the coronavirus,” he added.
The folks who die are, in the main, octogenarians with pre-existing medical issues... but that won't stop the Prime Minstrel from driving the economy off the proverbial cliff.
Get a grip, people.
