Balzac Billy? There ARE no ground hogs in Alberta except those imported by eastern dudes who like dressing up like big rodents in a provonce with professional rodent contol officers.

Last Groundhog I saw was decapitated in a red mist by a 56gr, .224 low drag hollow point projectile moving just under mach 3 launched from a bolt gun 365 yards away.

The farmer must've been miffed at the rodent's weather forcasting ability.
