Dion's irrefutable logic would dictate that since Quebec is going to use petroleum products to fuel cars and heat homes, it might as well come from Western Canada, especially as an E-W pipeline would have zero effect on climate change or the environment. Maybe some enterprising journalist might ask him to comment on this.

A friend of mine, working for Suncor explained the Montreal mayor's reasoning for opposing the pipeline. CN is the railroad which carries oil from the West. CN's head office is in Montreal.
