Three Canadian casualties

-- KANDAHAR, Afghanistan -- Three Canadian troops were killed and another injured Wednesday when their vehicle was blasted by an explosive device west of Kandahar city in the most devastating strike against the Canadians so far this year.

Sergeant Shawne Eades and two other soldiers died in the attack. The names of the other soldiers are being held at the request of their families.
They will be remembered.

**********

UPDATE: Two others identified

Sergeant Shawn Eades, Corporal Dustin Wasden and Sapper Stephan Stock died in the attack.

It is the worst one-day toll for the Canadians since July 4 of last year when six soldiers were lost in a single explosion.
P.S. Stay tuned for infamous idiot Canadian Cynic trying to make sport of their deaths.Because it's what he does.

**********

FROM THE COMMENTS: Yup, he just can't stop...

...proving, once again, the thesis that stupid is forever.

I suppose if I was a women, there would be twice as much of this. The thing is... reposting your name-calling over and over... is just silly kid games. It was the stuff about the Nazis and the poison gas... that went over the line.

Now you just get erased.

WELCOME, YET AGAIN, READERS OF CANADIAN CYNIC

It always amazes me how many gentle, progressive left-leaning commenters seem to groove on CC's foul brew. And it's always the same old shtick... screaming insults at members of the Blogging Tories... (funny how many of his targets seem to be women).

And I'm flabbergasted at how many people seem to groove on that. It's like all the kids who stood around in grade eight, watching the class bully pound the shit outta the new kid. The only real difference is... none of these folks are 13 years-old anymore.

So why is this considered acceptable behaviour?
I don't get it.

The best part is... as soon as someone turns the lens around on big, brave CC... he invariably runs crying to BT Admin Stephen Taylor to have me excommunicated from the Blogging Tories.

It's what bullies invariably do.

Hey, CC... not so "fellatiotastic" when the "dumb cuntitude" decides to fight back, huh?

Behold the leftards have not a modicum of decency and respect for those who die while serving their country. It takes a special kind of coward to hail the death of our military members whilst lamenting the loss of a gang banger. CC someday you shall reap what you sow, karma's a bitch dear.

Rest in peace young men.

Gawd Neo, you are dishonest.

Did you read the post from which you snatched that screen shot? No I don't think you did. In case you missed it, he was making fun of Kerplonka who was demonstrating that attitude. You know him don't you? He's a blogging Tory, just like you.

Nice to see you will stoop to lying. I guess we now know for sure what kind of person you are.

"mike says... we now know for sure what kind of person you are."

well, mike... it's nice to see cc has such good friends.

i guess you're also on board with canadian cynic's message to Wanda Watkins, whose son Lane was killed in afghanistan...

"with all due respect, wanda, fuck you and your grief. it's not the job of the rest of canada to continue to let its soldiers die just so you can sleep better at night."

or how about when he publicly labels a female bt blogger "fellatio-tastic"... or his constant stream of references to the "dumb cuntitude"?

if you're saying that i'm the "anti-cc" that's a label i'll wear with pride.

and, if you truly find me too "dishonest"... you can always head back to cc's circle jerk... and really feel the love.

Mike is one of the most dishonest bloggers I can think of.

He labels himself as a 'libertarian' but yet associates himself closely with the most vile of the left leaning parts of the blogosphere. Uh yeah.... those 'libertarian lefties'.

I wouldnt expect him to explain himself, as he knows how hypocritical his behaviors are.

He must feel proud of CC's abusive actions. Hey Mike, did you feel good about CC posting children's personal information and alluding to compromising their personal safety. Thats a notch above 'lying', and that's your chosen accomplice.

Disgusting, some of these lefties.

"anon says... that's your chosen accomplice."

well... i'm not worried about mike... he's obviously more concerned about his supercool-guy biker image than any sort of intellectual rigor.

what i find puzzling are the supposedly feminist women who don't have a problem with cynic's all-too-apparent misogyny.

i had a comment here, allegedly from a retired professional woman who dismissed all cc's targeted and highly offensive abuse of blogging tory sandy crux... as a "little crudity on his salad".

that's sure not how sandy herself saw it.

apparently, to paraphrase jeff goldblum in "the big chill"... in the annointed land of the leftbot... rationalisations ARE more important than sex.

i guess the trick of it is... to lower your expectations

and to all and sundry... here's what this post is actually about...

"What amazes me more than the heroism and willingness of our soldiers, is the continued view by some that soldiers are either victims or felons.

I suppose it's a natural reaction for those who can't fathom the fact that there are those among us who rush in when most flee... and who stand fast when most recoil."

I read both your post and his post to get both sides of this one.
Why didn't you link to the original story?
Isn't it usual if you are quoting some one to provide a reference link?
Having rooted around it's easy to see that you misrepresented the post and his intentions.
Changing the topic to Mrs Watkins doesn't make you any less wrong either.

"harebell asks... Why didn't you link to the original story?"

you have a point, my friend... to truly appreciate 'the cynic'... it has to be in his own words.

enjoy.

Please be accurate in your quotes of me. Oh, and provide links, too, so people can follow the
whole conversation in context if they want.

You said (this thread): "i had a comment here, allegedly from a retired professional woman who dismissed all cc's targeted and highly offensive abuse of blogging tory sandy crux... as a "little crudity on his salad".

First, I am not an "alleged" retired professional woman, I'm a real one, and I don't appreciate your implying otherwise.

Second, the "crudity" remark was a pun, or a play on words. Wordplay is a technique used to enrich and enhance the communication of people who enjoy language and use it in a deliberate and meaningful manner. Got that?

Just to bring you up to speed: Crudités are traditional French appetizers comprising sliced or whole raw vegetables which are dipped in a vinaigrette or another dipping sauce. Crudités often include celery sticks, carrot sticks, bell pepper strips, broccoli, cauliflower, and asparagus spears.

My implication in using this particular word, in case you missed it the first time around, was that cc's crudeness is not the core content of his blog -- but merely a garnish (admittedly a rather garish garnish). This garnish doesn't particularly please me or attract my attention, but then I am not the usual target audience of almost any media, being a person who still finds a lot of her recreational and educational reading in sources published before her own birth; sources which frequently feature sentences (perfectly grammatical sentences) running well over 25 words and including punctuation whose use and placement renders such sentences easily understandable. There isn't a lot of that kind of content on the blogosphere, so I have to make do by reading blogs which offer solid cohesive arguments, testable hypotheses, and verifiable facts.

The ongoing task of Canadian Cynic is to discover, explore, and make available the more egregious statements and actions being undertaken by our employees, the government and bureaucracy of Canada, together with those larger economic and regulatory actors whose choices, initiatives and areas of neglect most strongly affect the people of Canada. I consider this to be a laudable mission, and so far I have not seen similar useful content -- with or without crudities -- on your site. I am sure that you can do better, I shall watch with interest.

well, to quote your pal canadian cynic... thats just, well... "fellatio-tastic".

thank you for dropping by to further condescend to all of us here in the "dumb cuntitude".

and hey, all the best wishes on your laudable mission... as they used to say back in the 80's... you've come a long way, baby.

say hi to cc for me.

Nope
You really didn't quite understand my point did you?
You didn't link to the original post, you linked to another one even though you agreed with me.
I guess you thought hand waving and pointing to a bright shiny object my distract me?
It didn't.
Are you alright? I'm kind of worried about your inability to follow an obvious thread.

"harebell asks... Are you alright?"

my goodness, hairy... that's so thoughtful that you would ask.

again, to quote your good friend canadian cynic... things are just... "fellatio-tastic".

perhaps though... you should save some of your concern for poor lil' cc.
