The electronic gods...

...are blockading my on-ramp to the information highway. It's been getting worse all weekend.

Have to contact the Bell people directly. The last time I went through Sympatico support, I spent 20 minutes on hold, and then had to deal with someone on the Indian sub-continent who couldn't distinguish Belleville from Brockville. At least, I think that's what he said.

Not too impressive, I'll tell you.

Five of bells Bombay service technicians over the course of two days convinced me that I take my business elsewhere.I have to wonder if O.T.P.P.actually realizes what a p*ss poorly run company bce is.

"greyburr says... Five of bells Bombay service technicians..."

what bell isn't seeing is... it's doesn't matter how much money they save... if they can't solve people's problems.

had to deal with the dell server people in texas a while back... the two guys were not native english speakers, one latino, one east bloc... so it slowed things down a bit... but boy, they knew their tech stuff.

the bell guys in bombay just couldn't deviate from their cheat sheets... it was maddening.

A few years ago, I agreed to get high speed internet service for my kids, who live with their mom in Ontario. I called sympatico and asked for the service to be set up at address A in Ontario and for the installation to be charged to my Visa and monthly bills to be sent to me at address B in Alberta. After 2 weeks of constant phone and email communications with the Bell gurus, I finally decided to look elsewhere. I explained my decision and my reasons to them and they assured me that no charges would be forthcoming. Of course, the installation which never happened showed up on my credit card and I ended up having to get Visa to investigate and clear the charge. It's sad what bell has become.

one of my neighbours is a retired manager from bell. this guy started in install and worked his way up to running large operations... and, trust me, you don't wanna hear how he feels about the new improved bell.

Two weeks with the new Sympatico's customer/tech support destroyed six years of good feeling. I took my business to Rogers.

Try dealing with MTS in Manitoba! I live with dial-up,WHEN I can even get ph.service..and that's not even kidding.I have gone as long as 9 days with NO phone, and we have no cell service here in SE Man.This has been ongoing for 8 yrs,and they don't give a rats ass when I call customer ???service??.I finally got my MP (good Cons) involved and it has been not too bad since.Icing on the cake tho,was after 4 calls to MTS in one day to complain,'Barb' a service rep.said to me:'Well if it's that bad,why would you live there???'
