Schrödinger's, uhm... empty gesture

We're sticking to our principles... as long as it doesn't cost anything...
Days after police killed George Floyd, an unarmed Black man, last May, physicist Philip Phillips was in his garden in Champaign, Illinois, incensed and racking his brain over how his scientific community could respond.
The 2024 March Meeting of the APS is already scheduled for Minneapolis, Minnesota, where George Floyd was killed.
The society won’t cancel that one because of the costs involved.
WHO EXACTLY ARE THEY HONOURING?
sWEET bABY jEBUS!
