George Floyd was a dangerous thug... but try finding that needle in the politically-correct media haystack...
Floyd had landed five years behind bars in 2009 for an assault and robbery two years earlier, and before that, had been convicted of charges ranging from theft with a firearm to drugs.Funny that no one is mourning the lives lost, or livelihoods ruined in the subsequent violent anarchy. The rush to "bend the knee" to the mob beggars rational thinking.
"The Toronto Police Service are also grieving at the recent events," said Police Chief Mark Saunders, as he publicly knelt down.Truth be told... some people are born kneelers...
Mayor John Tory said he would "without hesitation," also kneel with protesters if asked. "I'm listening very carefully to what the people are saying."
"I have a great deal of respect for Chief Saunders [kneeling]. He's showing incredible leadership," Premier Doug Ford said.
“I think that kind of talk about sort of, you know, where this all arises from, or sort of who’s to blame, is not very constructive,” Toronto Mayor John Tory told reporters in Nathan Phillips Square.'Ol George is not the guy you want to deify, but if you get a big enough mob, you can get people to say anything.
