There were many odd, or even very odd moments in their testimony. I’m hardly alone in seeing their refusal to answer Pierre Poilievre’s four-times-repeated question whether they had hired private investigators to surveil reporters (Canadaland’s Jesse Brown, in particular) almost eerie.Or the Prime Minister's mother & brother, for that matter.
Any conventional, normal charity would never find itself in a situation where such a question could be asked — if they have or had private detectives on their payroll.
UPDATE: Of course they did
"Brown not only included in his tweets a report which showed investigators looking into the names of his children and where they attended school but also an email from the lawyer hired by WE, Peter Downard."
