HALIFAX — "Dalhousie University stated, “We have embarked on the process of selecting a new vice-provost student affairs,” adding that the search 'will be restricted to racially visible persons and Aboriginal Peoples at this time.'"Apparently Dalhousie University feels there are no non-white candidates in the whole country who could be expected to get hired on merit alone.
"The recruitment process raises questions about whether such restrictions could be a form of either tokenism or discrimination."
Yet again... the soft bigotry of low expectations.
