Call me wacky... but, perhaps... harnessing your ego to all your shiny new possessions isn't really a prudent financial strategy.
Fwiw... my two vehicles are older than my teenage son.

I'm in the last category. I have a 1998 Chevy Silverado. I'm going to transition it from my primary to my secondary vehicle this year.
My primary vehicle will probably be less than 10 years old... but not by much.
