So Dalton... you wanna tell me...

...what happened to those pre-election pie-in-the-sky promises about doctors making house-calls in Ontario...

However, speaking at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Mr. McGuinty strongly suggested the Liberal government will not follow through on all of the several hundred recommendations Mr. Drummond is expected to make later this month.

“Mr. Drummond’s responsibility of course is to advise and ours is to decide, so there’s a distinction, first of all, to be drawn between his responsibility and our responsibility in government,” Mr. McGuinty said.
Don't blame me folks... I didn't vote for him.

UH!!!

In other words McGuinty is imo insinuating that it is Mr. Dummond fault for McGuinty's province bad state of affairs.

the sad truth is, you get the kind of government you deserve.

and ontarians (torontonians in particular)... despite plenty of prior evidence... put this spend-happy socialist's hands on the levers of power... a decision that their children & grandchildren will end up paying for.

Dalton would walk away from this as if nothing had happened as did Bob Rae who, is now running for the fed. lib intermship. Most likely Dalton would join him.

And the next person who comes along to run for the ontario provincial government will be blamed for Ontario's ruination, all the while as Dalton looks on.

Believe me, Dalton will walk away without a peep from the media. as did Rae.

The media imo, helped Dalton this far without them Dalton would have been lost a long time ago.

The next province to look for its own disaster is Quebec.

"nonny asks... how much did "WE" pay drummond????"

i guess you'd have to ask dalton... but i know it's nowhere near the taxpayer dollars he handed over to samsung recently.

It's $1500 a day for a maximum 100 days, i.e. $1.5M
Samsung, on the other hand, will get $5.5M a year for 20 years from hydro rates. Since none of their projects have yet been built, they have received $0. They will start to get some money after they have invested $7 BILLION in Ontario. And some of that will end up in taxes to the government.

So yes, Drummond's pay is nowhere near what Samsung gets. It's far more at the moment.

so, nonny... what you're saying is... not only did dalton hire this extremely expensive consultant with taxpayer monies... he is now free to ignore all the man's recommendations because they don't suit the liberal's political agenda?

as for the samsung boondoggle... i would direct you to the deal obama made with solyndra.

i don't have a lot of faith in sole-source, no-bid pie-in-the-sky eco-fantasies.

let's see who comes out the big winner here. i'm guessin' it ain't gonna be the taxpayers of ontario.
