ST. THOMAS – For 17 years, Ashley Pereira’s body was hidden in a chest freezer while his family held out hope he was still alive. On Tuesday, Pereira’s murderer, Chad Reu-Waters, 48, was told he must serve the same amount of time in prison before he can apply for parole.
