The victims, a married couple in their 70s, were found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead on the scene. The woman was a patient at Providence at the time of the shooting.
The homicide team has taken over the investigation.
UPDATE2: The victim has been identified as Karen Swatogor, 72, of Toronto.
