Prosecutor Lyne Décarie pointed to evidence including a recipe for a pressure cooker bomb, which was found on the bedside table in the couple's condo.Of course, the CBC is not a fan of actual evidence...
The jury also heard how during their investigation, RCMP officers discovered a pressure cooker and a dollar-store bag full of ingredients required for that recipe, including matches, a clock, coffee filters and nails.
Keven Chartrand, who is with the RCMP and is a member of the Integrated National Security Enforcement Team said while going through a section of the condo, on April 14, 2015, he spotted a blue file folder with a document inside it labeled “How to fabricate a bomb.”Perhaps they were planning to make some "nail soup."
The handwritten recipe is a “word-for-word” copy of one the terrorist group al-Qaida had previously published in a propaganda magazine.
