As wacky as this earth hour thing is you have to give the inventor credit and an extra large dacha for pulling this off...hell, the big boys Coca Cola, Wallymart etc. would give their left nuts for an advertising campaign of this magnitude...and for the dumbly loyal customers as well.

so, whaddaya think... how many of these dumbsticks have tripped over a coffee table and broken a leg... or fallen down a flight of stairs in the darkness... or burned down their houses when they knocked over a candle?
betcha none of those stories see the light of day.

Picture if you will these good folk stumbling fumbling about but feeling "oh so good!" about turning off a light switch...and the world is now a better place...the only thing missing was Jackson and McCartney warbling "We Are the World."...and we all know how that turned out.
Thomas Edison and Benjamin Franklin must be rolling in their graves...WTF!
Funny... after 19 beers on my 240 pounds of lawnchair lights out, with my 120 pounds of man's best friend german shepard, I think my neighbours are gunna keep their freekin lights on 24/7 !!!

this makes about as much sense as a one hour fast to end world hunger.
