Special Rules for Special People
It's been 10 years this month that we pulled up stakes and left Toronto the Good... and frankly, there have been no regrets... not a single one... but it's stuff like this that really brings the "Big Picture" into focus...
When the very people who are supposed to be upholding the law of the land are instead continually handing out "free passes" to various special interest groups... you know it's past time to get the hell outta Dodge.
And, c'mon Peace Moonbeam... you don't think the cop did anything remarkable here?
Here's a little experiment. The next time you have occasion to interact with a police officer... try taking a swipe at his notebook... and "accidently" punch him in the head.
Yeah... that's what I thought.

UPDATE: Story goes international
Looks like Muhammed Alia is gonna get her 15 minutes of fame...

LAST WORD: Yeah... I'm shocked
Where there's smoke... there's, well... hypocrisy & cowardice.

yes, welcome back, missed you telling it like it really is...

"anon says... telling it like it really is"
well, to be honest... that sort of credit actually belongs to people like christie blatchford... although, really... another k.i.a. at caribana... that's so predictable it's as much cliche as it is "news"...
"The 30-year-old man shot and killed by two officers who frantically shouted at him to put down his gun allegedly had been robbing onlookers in the crowd and was so well-known to police that he was on a list of wanted men given to undercover officers working the parade route."
i collate this stuff and pass it along mostly because i have trouble with people who choose to live with their collective heads up their politically-correct asses.
the fact that they choose to pass along the p.c. mythology under the banner of tolerance is something that should not go unchallenged.

apparently there are something like 17 hooka bars in smoke free Ottawa.

"grey lady says... something like 17 hooka bars in smoke free Ottawa"
yup... special rules for special people.
but c'mon now... let's be honest... who doesn't admit that ottawa is where most of this p.c. bullshit is cooked up in the first place?

Menzies is not a "car columnist". I think they're confusing him with Jim Kenzie of the Star.
Sometimes when I come here, all I can do is shake my head in wonder and say *wow*.

"anon says... Menzies is not a 'car columnist'."
oh, nonny... the law of the land is suddenly tossed out the window and that's your biggest beef here? seriously?
stop for a moment and try to actually utilise that blob of dough between your ears.
here's a hint... "one people... one law".
