-- TORONTO -- Police have charged a 19-year-old man with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a man in a Toronto apartment building earlier this month.

Aasif Patel surrendered to police Saturday and is scheduled to appear in court today. Police are still searching for 19-year-old Wariskhan Pathan.

A man wanted for the shooting murder of a Toronto man outside a Vaughan banquet hall was arrested in Ottawa early Monday.

York police said they also arrested a woman for allegedly being an accessory after the fact in connection with the Jan. 21 slaying of Arash Elijah Bakhtaryani, 27.

Mohand Mohamed, 31, is to appear in Newmarket court Tuesday charged with first-degree murder. Police also charged Maryam Torabipour, 26, of Richmond Hill, with being an accessory after the fact.
