A little unclear on the concept

Not to bum you out, Abdullah... but trading one oligarchy for another... still not democracy...
wait a minute

In a statement read out on state television at midday on Friday, the military announced that it would lift a 30-year-old emergency law but only "as soon as the current circumstances end". --
Don't misread me, still a pretty good first step... but, seriously... you might not wanna break out the champagne & party hats just yet.

Interesting how the freedom poster boy is wearing a keffiyeh ... an iconic symbol of terrorism and anti-semitism.

to be honest... i didn't even get as far as what people were wearing. i mean, crap on a cracker... that guy in the picture would be scary even if he was wearing armani.

interesting though, that... just like iraq... one of the first things the mobs did... was break into the national museum right there on the square... and smash dozens of priceless, irreplaceable national treasures.

maybe there's a reason the army feels it has to step in and steer the bus.

My prediction when this 'transition to democracy' becomes sluggish.

Egyptian market place ... Allah Akbar ... Kaboom ...
