What's in a name?

Well, apparently... a mission statement...truth in advertising"Less education"... and a soupcon of explosives.

"Boko Haram, whose name means 'Western education is a sin' in the Hausa language, is trying to turn Nigeria into an Islamic state. It has killed more than 1,000 people since 2009."
But don't you worry... the powers that be are all over... wait a minute...
"After the attack, police and soldiers cordoned off the campus as gunfire echoed in the surrounding streets. Abubakar Jibril, a spokesman for Nigeria's National Emergency Management Agency, said security forces initially refused to allow rescuers to enter the campus. Soldiers also turned away journalists from the university."
Of course, nobody here has a white father and a Hispanic mother... so look for this story to disappear in three, two...

Right on the money, of course.

As I have said on other blogs, one of the main fronts of the jihad right now is Africa. Whether it's the Ethiopian and Kenyan armies against Somalia's al-Shabab, the free Republic of South Sudan against Islamist Sudan, or here - the Nigerian state against Boko Haram.

Although denying medical help to the wounded was unusual - the jihadists could've disguised themselves and blown up an V-IED ambulance.
