Right then, would everybody who's...

In favour of mindless sectarian violence... please raise your hand.
Opposition MPs in the Pakistani parliament have ignored a proposal to pass a resolution condemning recent suicide attacks in the country.

Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao asked for the adoption of the resolution after making an address on the current security situation in the country.

But the call went unheeded by members of parliament, including representatives of the right-wing alliance of Islamic religious parties, the MMA.
These guys had more pressing matters to deal with.
They chose instead to criticise the government's military operation against militants in North West Frontier Province and in North and South Waziristan.
Yup... there's a hard rain comin'.

US troops in Iraq say they have killed an al-Qaeda leader who masterminded the attacks on a Shia shrine that led to a major escalation in sectarian violence.

The mosque is one of the most sacred Shia sites in Iraq, and the attacks set off a wave of sectarian violence which claimed the lives of thousands of civilians.

A second attack, in June 2007, saw its ancient minarets destroyed.
Hey Haitham, say hi to Allah for us.
