The City of Toronto is bleeding from a nine-month-old self-inflicted gunshot wound to the foot, and some councillors aren't shying away from salting the wound.Way to go, Super Dave... you sure showed all those evil thugs.
Yesterday, the Toronto Sportsmen's Show announced they were leaving the city-owned Exhibition Place for the province's Metro Convention Centre, where they'll be allowed to promote and sell firearms.
The show is taking with it a cheque for $750,000 that used to go the city, and some councillors say they still need the cash.**********
"If there's any organization that can't afford to lose $750,000, it's the City of Toronto," Councillor Doug Holyday said.
FROM THE COMMENTS:
"It was just a few years ago that the city of Toronto was going to close the skating rinks during the Christmas Break because it would cost....$750,000."*
