You wouldn't understand...

...it's a Liberal thing...

Canada’s supply of stuff to apologize for must be running low. The CBC says Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne will issue a formal apology for a law passed in 1912 that essentially banned the use of French in elementary schools. The kindergarten class of 1915 will at last have closure.
How about an apology for the billion dollars the Liberals spent on not building new electrical generation capacity?

RELATED: You can't say they aren't flexible
Stéphane Dion has perfected his stand on the $15 billion Saudi arms deal and it’s a Liberal classic: He’s for it and he’s against it. The Liberals will go ahead with the sale while also disapproving of it.

RELATED2:
On Monday, Finance Minister Bill Morneau indicated none of those three promises will be met. In just four months since the Oct. 19 election, Justin Trudeau has cut loose all the fiscal anchors he pledged to abide by even as he runs deficits.

LAST WORD: Comment of the week

"Why, it's almost as if they just weren't ready."
“We decided that that decision can be put off... until we have the actual text of a bill,” Liberal House Leader Dominic LeBlanc said.
Way to govern, Dom.

Nothing much can surprise me as to what Wynne might announce, still this apology caught me off guard. A quick survey of how many Franco Ontarian voters were aware of the 1912 legislation would be interesting. History in Ont schools is taught very poorly, if covered at all; even Canada's role in liberating Europe in WW 2 gets short shrift, so events prior to 1914 would be ancient history. Liberals already have the lion's share of Franco Ontarian votes, but they will need every vote possible come next election. Is there any group left for Ont Liberals to apologize to?

Interesting this spate of politically correct apologia for the injustices of past regimes who were by definition acting on the politically correct mores of the day.

guess this means we'll all be dead but maybe our great grandchildren may hear politicians apologising for the politically correct tyranny of post 60s "progressia".

Okay, but she wants to get rid of the Catholic school boards which consistently have the best results of public schools in Ontario.

Perhaps the crazy lesbian activist could "apologize" for stealing 100's of billions of Canadians tax dollars to waste away on the forced french act, "bilingualism"... while shes at it maybe she could "apologize for being such a proud tribalist bigot.

old white guy says..........I didn't realize that Wynne was that old that she was responsible for something as trivial and meaningless as no French in grade school. there should still be no French in grade school.
