Surprise, surprise

Just watched CTV's Mike Duffy on their Ottawa affiliate CJOH... giving his take on the brouhaha that will, no doubt, come to be known as CADSCAM.

Citing his interview with Cadman, right around the time of the vote... Duffy says the ailing MP voted to prop up the Liberal government... to ensure that his family got the larger insurance payout he was entitled to as a sitting MP.

Duffy also said that Cadman didn't say word one to him, about the "alleged" insurance policy bribe.

Host Norman Fetterly's next question attempted to get the Globe's Brian Laghi to put Stephen Harper "in the frame"... but that wasn't working out either.

Both men said that they had no idea why Cadman's wife and daughter were claiming that he had been offered an insurance policy as a bribe... that it "didn't make sense."

Apparently not everybody at CTV is a mindless robot.

LAST WORD: The caring, compassionate left
"Last night the Liberal Party of Canada awarded me, in recognition of my contributions and services to the party over the past few decades, a lifetime membership in the Liberal Party of Canada."

"If I look back, both the party and the people who populate its structure have had an enormous impact on shaping my life and 'who I am today'".
