During the session with delegates, Mr. Brison said the Conservatives’ decision to cut the GST by two per cent costs $13 billion a year, money that could go into infrastructure, poverty and the environment.Wow, Scotty... strong words.
I can't wait to hear how the Liberals are gonna remedy this horrible crime against Canadians.
Mr. Brison later told reporters his party has no plans to bring the GST back up to seven per cent. That sounds pretty bad, Scotty... you sure you guys wanna let this one slide?
"We will not raise the GST, the leader has been clear on that," he said. "But clearly, Mr. Harper has frittered away the fiscal capacity of the country. He has spent like a drunken sailor while cutting the GST."
Mr. Brison said there’s nothing wrong with his party "identifying a bad economic decision" like cutting the GST, even though the Liberals have no plans to reverse it.Sorta like the budget and Afghanistan, huh?

"I get angry every time I hear a politician state that a tax cut "costs" the government X$$. Where do they get the term "costs" - it "costs" me every paycheque, and they think it "costs" them to give it back?"*
