The bill is intended to target sexual predators, but many youth advocates say that by focusing on age, the new law will confuse teens, make their sexual activities more clandestine and expose them to other risks, including abuse, early pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections.Now... call me wacky, but unless teenagers have undergone some weird genetic mutation in the last couple of decades... I suspect that checking government legislation before seeking out and, more to the point, having sex... just isn't on the radar.
